Hello from Kirsta Davey Photography

Natural light and settings influence my style by creating timeless portraits that will capture candid, joyful celebrations of life, light and color.  I aim to tell stories through my photography and have my audience remember the moments far beyond the photographs themselves.  Although I photograph people and pets of all ages, my work as an elementary school teacher has proven beneficial in capturing the special bond between children and animals, reflecting the natural beauty and personality of both. I am focusing my work on portraits in natural settings – children, high school seniors, families, pets – as well as memorable events and weddings..

Weddings!

At Kirsta Davey Photography we know how important your special day is and know that the needs of each wedding are different. From getting ready to the final dance, your day will be captured.  We will help you identify your needs and make sure all significant aspects of the day are photographed. Candid images that capture the moments and show the connections between the bride and groom and their guests are core images of the day.  Wedding packages and hourly rates are available.

Family

Family photos capture the special occasions in one’s life: the addition of new family members, birthdays, celebrations, big moves, holidays or even family vacations.  I will come to you, or I will suggest an ideal location near you – whatever is preferable for your family. I enjoy using the soft light later in the day and will guide you when making photo memories to cherish.

Senior Portraits

In addition to being a photographer, I work with elementary and middle school students in Concord, MA.  I also have three children of my own, which is why I enjoy having the opportunity to photograph senior graduates as they move on to the next big chapter in their lives.  For the senior photo sessions, I will come to you in your backyard or will meet you at the location of your choice.  Backdrops such as barns, bridges, fields, fences, stone walls, lakes, ocean, brick buildings, work well for New England senior photo shoots. They also add variety in the types of photos. I like to use natural light whenever possible so I prefer the soft light of the afternoon. I aim to have your personality reflected naturally in these images.

PETS

I have a passion for pets, dogs in particular, and specialize in capturing the animal’s personality and the connection between the pet and the owner. I love to get the natural shots as well as the pets in motion. I volunteer with Operation Delta Dog and take photos of the newly paired veterans and their service dogs for their website and publications.   This nonprofit organization supports veterans and rescue dogs in remarkable ways by giving veterans comfort and confidence in situations that otherwise are difficult by allowing the company of a dog.
